Request a QuoteElectrostatic painting with Ransburg #2 equipment is the most efficient spray process used to apply paint coatings to metal and other conductive substrates without creating over-spray. Atomized paint particles are positively charged and are drawn to grounded metal objects. Atomization occurs due to centrifugal force and the electrostatic charge rather than air being introduced at the tip.
Other, less efficient electrostatic spray process equipment is available that can apply paint at a faster rate. When the project demands, Electro Painting & Refurbishing, Inc. uses a variety of electrostatic and non-electrostatic spray processes to provide the best value finish for our clients This is how we offer the electrostatic painting Atlanta, GA and our other locations can rely on.
The coatings' 95% or greater transfer efficiency minimizes overspray and allows a factory equivalent sprayed finish to be applied on the job site. Other spray equipment has only a 50-60% transfer efficiency, which in comparison, wastes a lot of paint and money versus the Ransburg #2 process.
Many OEM-equivalent low-VOC paint coatings can be applied electrostatically, including two-component epoxies, polyurethanes, and fluoro-polymers. These coatings chemically "bake" to provide a durable finish without ovens to "force cure" the paint. Plus, ovens can't be located at job sites.
The electrostatic spray process provides a uniform film thickness and consistent coating performance. The static charge creates a "wrap around" effect providing improved paint coverage. Get in touch with us today to learn more!
